The unique design and elevation of the PRANGANAM is bound to leave the tourist/Pilgrim spell bound with an experience, rich, cherishing and invigorating. When noble thoughts become great intentions, and such intentions become a driving passion, marvels like the RAMANARAYANAM are created. Located at Korukonda Road, Vizianagaram, 50 kms from Vizag Airport, Andhra Pradesh, this theme park has set standard in many ways, attracting tourists not just from its vicinity but from across the globe. Raising the bar of what one can expect from a theme park, from a great epic and from a spiritual destination, the Ramanarayanam is as unique as it is special.

A Unique Spiritual Theme Park Spread over a sprawling 15 acres plot with lush green lawns and taking over a decade from concept to design to execution and to reality and with the sweat and toils of hundreds of artists and artisans from across the country who were chanting away JAISRIRAM, this MAGNUM OPUS called RAMANARAYANAM could finally take shape and achieve its destined position in the annals of the history of the CITY OF LEARNING /MUSIC and the historical city of VIZIANAGARAM. Costing no less, this spiritual theme park is exceptional / unique in more ways than one. “The design of the PRANGANAM is based on our ancient architecture upholding the Hindu Mythology.” When we say Mythology, we may sound that Ramayana is a myth and Rama is a myth. Ramayana and Mahabaharatham are Ithihasa or Epics but not Mythology. Since Green colour provides huge relief to the tiring eyes, this theme park is also home to the most exotic spread of flora and fauna, which also offer solace to the tourists/pilgrims/visitors.

Location

The Valmiki Research Centre (VRC) regards the Ramayana, composed by the great sage Valmiki, as an invaluable treasure of humanity—one of the world’s most ancient and timeless epics. Far beyond its religious origins, the Ramayana transcends cultural and geographical boundaries, offering universal insights into ethics, leadership, family values, duty, and spiritual wisdom that remain profoundly relevant even today.

The spiritual theme park “Ramanarayanam” is spread over an area of 15 acres on Korukonda Road in Vizianagaram district, 50 km from Visakhapatnam airport of A.P. This place attracts devotees and tourists from all over the world and stands as a symbol of Indian architectural and cultural heritage. “This magnificent creation is the result of a decade of dedicated effort by hundreds of skilled artisans, brought to life with the spirited chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ echoing throughout their work.” The architectural marvel of Ramanarayanam is a creative blend of ancient Indian design and modern innovation. At its heart lies a unique double-storeyed structure shaped like a bow and arrow, which artistically showcases 72 pivotal episodes from the Ramayana through intricate sculptures. Each episode is accompanied by Telugu and English subtitles, with audio guides and explanatory content available to enrich the visitor experience.

Among the many highlights of the complex is the 60-foot statue of Abhayanjaneya Swamy, a towering symbol of devotion and protection. The site also houses traditional temples, a serene meditation center, a well-stocked library, cultural venues, and themed tree groves, offering visitors a holistic spiritual and cultural journey.

The VRC has been established within the serene and spiritually vibrant campus of Ramanarayanam Srimadramayana Pranganam in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, with the mission to research, preserve, and promote the timeless teachings of the Ramayana for the benefit of current and future generations. This symbolic, spiritual, and architectural marvel is a landmark that attracts lakhs of visitors annually. The VRC is an offshoot of Ramanarayanam specially established in September 2024.

The VRC aims to channel the Ramayana’s ethical and cultural richness into modern society by integrating its teachings into formal and non-formal education. Our focus is especially on youth between standards 1st to 5th , 8th to 12th, and also to offer special courses beyond 10+2 level for furtherance of our cultural fragrance to be felt among the present generation so as to inculcate character-building values rooted in Indian ethos.
